35 PRAY AND PRAISE DAILY.

Prayer also will be made for Him continually, And daily He shall be praised.

     —Psalm 72:15

“Well, I praised God yesterday.”

Yesterday’s praise isn’t sufficient for today.

“I thanked Him last week.”

Past praise grows stale like old manna.

Continual prayer and daily praise keeps us in God’s presence. In an atmosphere of praise, God inhabits our relationships and guides our steps. In continual prayer God speaks to us before we talk and before we act.

If our actions and thoughts are not preceded by prayer, then they will spring from the flesh and wreck everything in their paths. If our days are not filled with praise, we will speak word curses and act selfishly.

Continual, daily prayer and praise keep us where we must dwell—in His presence. No other dwelling can give us life and hope. No other dwelling can empower us to walk in the Spirit.
