52 DON’T LOSE HEART; ALWAYS PRAY.

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.

     —Luke 18:1

What tempts us to lose heart?

When the answers seem to take so long in coming.

     When we are tired.

When other persecute us for praying.

     When we let stress and busyness control us.

When others will not pray with us.

     When love waxes cold.

When faith melts under the heat of doubt.

What helps us take heart to pray?

When we pray with others.

     When we wait and watch.

When we guard our hearts and mind with Christ.

     When our bones wax hot with the Word.

When our eyes see miracles and faith builds.

     When we pray in spite of how we feel.

Jesus,

Transplant a new heart into my life. Give me the heart to pray! Amen.
