FLESH

THE FLESH is like a defensive line set up in football to stop the offensive movement of the team with the ball. When you accepted Christ, God handed you the football and told you to score touchdowns. The flesh is a defensive line trying to stop your progress, to kill your drive, to stop you from scoring, and to keep you stuck in the same place on the field all game long. The flesh operates to keep you out of the red zone so you can’t even score a field goal. The job of the flesh is to block your spiritual progress.308
