PARENTING,
DISCIPLINE IN
A LADY was in the store and her daughter was acting up terribly. She said, “Suzanne, you stop it and I mean you stop it right now. You control yourself. Suzanne, you get yourself together. Calm down. Settle down and I mean, Suzanne, you do it right now.”
The store manager heard her and was impressed to hear this mother firmly give her daughter direction. She went over to the little girl and said, “You ought to be excited to have a mother like this! So your name is Suzanne, huh?”
The mother piped in, “No! My name is Suzanne. Her name is Brenda.”
Instead of controlling our kids, we are trying to control ourselves.667
