ONE of the great tragedies in the twentieth century was the sinking of the Titanic. This large ship hit an iceberg and many people died as a result. There is another tragedy with the Titanic. Most of the lifeboats that held people saved from death were only half filled. They were unwilling to turn back and share in their salvation.833

PAUL Revere is a hero. Because he feared the British, he cried, “The British are coming! The British are coming!” He sounded the alert. Paul Revere’s concern was not popularity; it was sounding a warning because he took seriously the coming of the British.

God is coming. His justice is coming. His wrath is coming. Being cute ought not be your first concern.834

WHEN a building is on fire and your kid is on the inside, love casts out fear. Firemen have been known to have to hold back folks that had more love for someone in danger than fear of the danger of fire. The fire is real, but love even more so.835
