WHEN you burn a CD, you take the music or the movie and you pass it on so that on the other disc has precisely what was the original disc being burned. The copy is precisely the content of the original.

Satan does the same thing when he burns his thoughts into our thinking so that we think his thoughts after him. His goal is to get us to do this until those thoughts are burned so deeply they become our thoughts. His thinking, which starts as a suggestion, turns into a way of thinking for us, which then turns into a way of operating. The incorrect thinking ends up creating the actions that result from the thoughts.959

WHEN somebody I know is on drugs, I send them to a group in New Jersey. This is a most unique place. A person addicted to drugs usually can’t see themselves apart from their problem. At this place, the people there look at the individual and don’t let their addiction define them.

If you are a Christian, you are not an addict. You are a blood-bought child of the Living God who already has been given victory over drugs. The staff at this drug rehab reinforces the real truth. Every time they run into a patient, that patient is supposed to identify themselves, not as a drug addict but as a blood-bought child of God who already has victory over drugs.

All of a sudden, after a week or two, the patients begin to believe what they are telling the staff about themselves. The Bible calls this “mediation.”960
