DOCTRINE

A doctrine has practical value only as far as it is prominent in our thoughts and makes a difference in our lives. 1

Theological truth is useless until it is obeyed. The purpose behind all doctrine is to secure moral action.2

Many of the doctrinal divisions among the churches are the result of a blind and stubborn insistence that truth has but one wing.3

In matters of spiritual blessing and victory, we are not dealing with doctrines—we are dealing with the Lord of all doctrine! We are dealing with a Person who is the Resurrection and the Life and the Source from whom flows all doctrine and all truth.4
