0338. TO HIM BE THE GLORY.
TO HIM BE THE GLORY.
"Now unto Him who is able.. be glory" (Jud_1:24-25).
Worthy is the Lamb, for He was slain for us. To Him be the glory, because He is-
1. The "Only wise God." The wisdom of man is but foolishness with God. "Unto you, O men, I call" (Pro_8:4).
2. "God our Saviour." All the wisdom and omnipotence of Jehovah in exercise for our redemption. What a Gospel! What a refuge! What a Saviour!
3. "Able to keep you from falling." "His is the power to establish you" (Rom_16:25). He is able to keep you from falling out by the way, from falling in love with other gods, from falling into error, and from falling out of fellowship with Himself. Kept by the power of God through faith.
4. Able to "present you faultless." Praise be to His Name. This will be to the honour of His own saving grace and cleansing Blood. As faultless ones we shall sing, "Unto Him who loved us and washed us from our sins, in His own Blood" (Eph_5:25-27).
5. Able to present us "with exceeding joy." He for this joy that was set before Him endured the Cross. He shall see of the travail of His soul and be satisfied. His joy will be our joy. Enter into the joy of thy Lord.
