THE COMFORTER.

The Egyptians used to deal with a famous drug called "nepenthes," because it could lull sorrow for a day. In a world so full of sorrow pain-killers are in great demand. But quack remedies have no attraction for the believers in Jesus, for He has sent them "another Comforter" (Joh_14:16) who abides with them for ever.
