Israel, Restored and Forgiven, Will Be a World-Wide Blessing, As Seen in the Prophets

"I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be My salvation unto the end of the earth" (Isa_49:6).

Again we read: "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. * * And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising". "Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God" (Isa_60:1-3; Isa_62:3).

How glorious is all of this!

There can be no doubt that God’s purpose in Abraham’s call: "In thee shall all the nations of the earth be blessed", will yet be literally fulfilled. Israel has, during the centuries, profaned the Name of the Lord, but Ezekiel says, "And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned My holy Name. * * I will sanctify My great Name * * which ye have profaned * * and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord * * when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes".

There is a glad day coming for this old earth. It is a day that shall follow this day of the Church. The churches are sent out as missionaries, and their objective is to call out of the nations a people for His Name. The Lord will soon take His Church to Himself, and then Israel, forgiven, and restored, will become God’s missionaries, then she will be "A name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth". In those days many people and strong peoples shall come to seek the Lord of Hosts in Jerusalem; then "ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you".

When Israel is grafted in again, when Israel is received again, what will it be but "life from the dead"?

Restored Israel will be God’s missionaries to the uttermost parts of the earth, and the world will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. Today, after 2,000 years of church activity, we have about 1,200,000,000 who have never heard of Christ. Oh, let us hasten the day of our Lord’s Return and the day of Israel’s forgiveness and the day of world-wide missionary victory!
