Uzza

Bringing up arks, and sacrifices and giving, and praying and preaching and singing are unacceptable to God unless they are rendered in the way commanded–"for to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams" (1Sa_15:22).

"Rebellion is as the sin of divination, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry" (1Sa_15:23).

When one rejects the Word of the Lord, they must suffer the results of their disobedience.

We are living in an age when people seem to think that there should be much liberty of action in the things of God. That it does not matter so much after all, just so you are sincere. This is all wrong. It does matter. God must be obeyed.

We are living in an age when people are consulting with "captains and every leader," and we need to beware, for they will surely lead us away from the will of God.

We are living in an age when people are mimicking the world, and patterning the things of God after the fashion sheet of a wicked and an adulterous generation.
