Israel’s Millennial Rest–home Again

"Oar feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem" (Psa_122:2).

Nothing can be more beautiful than the wonderful promise revealed in our key verse. When we consider Israel’s distress, as set forth in Psalms 120; Israel’s preservation as discovered in Psalms 121; we are prepared to understand Israel home again as promised in Psalms 123.

Jerusalem has been trodden down under the feet of the Gentiles during the centuries, but Jerusalem shall be builded again. The children of Israel have been scattered through all the nations, but their feet shall stand once more in the city of peace. It is thither, even to the house of the Lord and to the testimony of Israel, that the Tribes of the Lord will go up. There shall yet be set thrones of judgment in Jerusalem. O that men would anticipate the day when Israel shall be home again. Let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem. All people and all nations that love her shall prosper; those who bless her shall be blessed, those who curse her shall be cursed.

In behalf of the brethren and the companions of our Lord, let us now say, "Peace be within thy walls and prosperity within thy palaces." Israel’s house is the house of the Lord God. Let us seek her good.
