Israel’s Millennial Rest–hope

"Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever" (Psa_131:3).

The time is coming when the proud and haughty who have lifted themselves up against the Lord, will return to the Lord, they will be quieted when they have been weaned away from their worldly wanderings.

What a beautiful picture. "Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever." The millennium will bring to God’s chosen people a period of rest and of peace, such as they have never known. Love will enthrall them, hope will fill their souls. They shall not be "afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day." "They shall dwell in the secret places of the Most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty. God will deliver them from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence and under His wings shall they trust."

So let Israel hope in the Lord, for He will speak peace and rest to her forevermore.
