0688. Angels Worship and Praise the Exalted Christ
Angels Worship and Praise the Exalted Christ
"And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne, and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing" (Rev_5:11-12).
The angels praised God at the birth of Christ. That scene was wonderful–but, what of this scene? The living ones, the elders, the multitude of angels and every creature in Heaven and on earth and under the earth, all together, giving one glad acclaim to Christ. Chapter 7 and Luk_24:11 gives another praise scene; "And all the angels round about the throne and the elders and the four living ones, fell before the throne on their faces and worshipped God, saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory and wisdom, and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be unto our God forever and ever. Amen."
Oh, what a hallelujah chorus is this! How the angels will rejoice! They were there when the earth was created and they shouted for joy; they were there at the birth and at the ascension of Christ and they shouted for joy; they will be there as the consummation of the ages comes and the raptured saints gather round the throne, and they will rejoice and shout for joy, again and yet again.
