0689. Angels Administer the Seal, the Trumpet and the Vial Judgments
Angels Administer the Seal, the Trumpet and the Vial Judgments
"When the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard, as it were the voice of thunder, one of the four living creatures saying, Come" (Rev_6:1).
"And I saw the seven angels that stand before God; and to them were given seven trumpets" (Rev_8:2).
"And I heard a great voice out of the Temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the seven vials of the wrath of God upon the earth" (Rev_16:1).
Thus the awful hour of God’s wrath will find the angels as the chief administrators of His commanded judgments. All through the Book of Revelation the angels are seen. They are described as holding the winds in their hands; they are pictured as sealing the servants of God, the one hundred and forty-four thousand of Israel; it is an angel who flies in mid-heaven, having the everlasting Gospel to preach unto them who dwell on the earth; it is an angel who announces that Babylon has fallen; it is an angel who cries "Thrust in your sickle and reap, * * for the harvest of the earth is ripe."
