Angels War in the Clouds

"And there was war in Heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was there place found any more in Heaven" (Rev_12:7-8).

This battle in the clouds is not a poetic fancy of some illusioned writer. The battle will surely occur. The angels of God, under Michael, the prince that standeth for Israel, will surely overcome. The battle will be a mighty conflict. Satan’s angels have, heretofore, questioned the right of God’s angels to pass through the air. An angel sent to the praying Daniel was withstood one and twenty days in mid-heaven, as he came down to speak God’s message. At that time Michael was called to aid the angel’s passage through the air; at the time of our Key Verse, Michael will be in charge of the forces of God.

When the Lord Jesus ascended up on high, He passed through the heavens, He passed above all of these principalities and powers of the air; when the saints are caught up to Christ in the air, the angels will clean the heavens of the dragon and his forces, and the realms above will be the unchallenged possession of saints.
