An Angel Binds Satan for One Thousand Years

"And I saw an angel coming down out of Heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit, and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is called the devil, and satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit, etc." (Rev_20:1-3).

Upon the coming of the Lord to earth, satan is to be bound by an angel, and cast into the pit of the abyss. The angel will set a seal upon the devil, that he shall not deceive the nations any more until the thousand years are finished.

Saints have much to appreciate in the work of the angels, in the days gone by; they have much for which to be thankful now, day by day; and, they will have much more to claim their grateful praise in the days to come.

What joy when satan is bound! He has been in Heaven, the accuser of saints; he has been on earth, the great deceiver. Forever, we are to be freed from the subtle enemy of our every calling. The one who has dogged our steps from the first day that we knew saving grace until now, will be cast down. Amen, and hallelujah, for "the Lord God omnipotent reigneth!"
