Satan’s Strategies Against the Unbeliever

Satan’s objective in pressing his strategies against the human race. The devil desires to damn man, because God desires to save him. Satan is striving to bring the race under his own dominion, breaking God’s dominion and authority. The devil does not exclusively press the unbeliever toward immoralities and vulgarities. He is willing to press the baser works of the flesh, when, by so doing, he can entangle the race more securely in His power. On the other hand satan is quite as willing to use every clean righteous method which will bring about the same results. Satan is just as much a preacher of righteousness as he is a preacher of impurities. He is just as much lord in the realm of civic righteousness and social uplift as he is in the realm of the saloon.

The Bible teaches that the whole world lies in the lap of the wicked one. The passage does not mean that robbers, murderers and drunkards exclusively lie in the devil’s power; it is the whole world, the moral and the immoral, the enlightened and the ignorant, every one that knows not God. The Bible says of the whole Gentile world: "Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air." Satan is back of the trend of the age.

It is easy to concede the fact that satan, in his strategy against the unbeliever, will particularly seek to turn man away from any allegiance to God. Therefore, satan will certainly combat every true testimony to the saving power of the Blood of Christ; to the keeping power of the risen Christ, and to the glorifying power of the coming Christ.
