Our second lesson for this quarter is one in which we seek to magnify our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He is the One altogether lovely and the fairest among ten thousands.

We study Christ to-day: As He was with the Father; As He was made flesh; As He was received of man on the one hand and rejected on the other; and, we study Him in what He does for those who receive Him.

One of the beautiful features of this lesson is to observe the group of those who received Christ. They will be presented in turn by the fifth sub-topic. It is refreshing to know that while the many rejected Him, there were some who received Him. This is always the case.

Paul went into a certain village and "some believed the things that were spoken and some believed not."

May we be counted among those who open their hearts to the Saviour. May we own Him both Lord and Christ.
