The Full Salvation in Christ Jesus

Fall Salvation Set Forth.

1. Salvation from Sin's Curse (Gal_3:13).

2. Salvation from Sin's Dominion (Rom_6:1).

3. Salvation from Sin's Presence (Heb_9:28).

Full Salvation in Type (1Co_10:6-11).

Full Salvation in Emblem (Act_20:28).

Full Salvation in Testimony (1Co_15:3).

There are so many vague ideas concerning the scope of salvation, that we seek in this study to get down to bed-rock fundamentals as the real results of saving grace. We are not treating the "HOW" so much as we are treating the "WHAT" of salvation.

Salvation has to do with the sin question, because we read: "Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins."

But where does salvation touch the sinner and his sins? Is it a question wholly of salvation from sin's penalty, or does the question go on and touch salvation from sin's power and ultimately, from sin's presence?

We want to know, and to know Scripturally, just what salvation includes; and when we know, we want to make real in our own experience all that it does mean.

The leader will observe how this full salvation is set forth in our Scripture Lesson.

1. There is justification by faith. This expresses salvation from sin's curse, inasmuch as Christ was made a curse for us and we stand acquitted and justified.

2. There is "access by faith into this grace where-in we stand." This has to do with our present salvation and our life of victory in a risen Christ.

3, There is our rejoicing "in hope of the glory of God." This carries us to the salvation to be revealed when the Lord comes.
