The Overcomers I

That there is a distinctive and much needed message in the letters to the seven Churches we may not doubt. Seven times the word is stated "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the Churches."

Granting, as we shall show later, that there is a historical development in the seven Churches, yet the fact remains that there is a message in each Church which is needed today.

History repeats itself. The dangers which confronted Ephesus and Smyrna and Pergamos and the rest will certainly confront us. For our part, we have been strangely stirred as we have studied these messages and we have thanked God again and again for the warnings given, for the encouragement suggested, and for the rewards offered to those who overcome. We pray that God will shed light upon us as we study together. God will open the minds of His children to understand His message to His Churches.
