1013. What Zechariah and Malachi Say About Christ As King
What Zechariah and Malachi Say About Christ As King
"And the Lord shall be Kins over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and His name one" (Zec_14:9)
1. Zechariah is full of prophecies concerning Israel. Suffice a quotation from chapter 14: "And His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, * * And the Lord shall be King over all the earth * * but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited * * the nations shall go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts." Marvelous prophecy, all of which is surely coming to pass. Not a jot or a tittle shall pass away, that shall not be fulfilled.
2. The last of the Prophets is Malachi. His final chapter describes "The Day of the Lord." The second verse tells of the Second Coming of Christ. "But unto you that fear My name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings." Israel is to be prepared for that day by the coming of the Prophet Elijah, who "shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers."
In conclusion, let us all be watching and waiting for the coming of our Lord, the Blessed Hope to Israel. God hath spoken. Christ is to come to the Mount of Olives. The King shall reign in righteousness.
