In Whom

Eph_1:1-14

There are so many wonderful groupings of words in the Bible, that we need not marvel that the simple expression "IN WHOM" will carry with it such a weight of glory.

Everything we have is in Christ Jesus. With what thunderings will the raptured saints acclaim Christ Jesus as they see Him in the midst of the throne and of the four living ones, and of the elders and of the multitudes of angels.

Ephesians, chapter 1, reverberates with the words, "in Christ:"

In Him we have every spiritual blessing,

In Him we, are chosen,

In Him we are holy and without blame,

In Him we are accepted,

In Him we are gathered in one; etc.

It was in Christ that we trusted, it was in Christ that God wrought salvation, and manifested the greatness of His power.

Thus we are prepared to expect a series of wonderful revelations under the expression "IN WHOM;" and we are not to be disappointed. Four things are said:

In Whom we have * * forgiveness,

In Whom we have redemption,

In Whom we are made an inheritance,

In Whom we were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Who is the earnest of our inheritance.

May the study of this lesson give added glory to Christ and may it increase our knowledge of what we have in Christ, and of what He has in us.
