With Christ in His Ascension

There are three steps that might be noted concerning the coming of Christ into the world.

1. He was with God in the Heavens, co-equal with the Father.

2. He became in fashion as man taking the form of a servant.

3. He was obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross.

There are three steps that may be noted concerning Christ's return to the Father.

1. He was raised from the dead.

2. He ascended up into Glory.

3. He took His seat at the Father's right hand.

This lesson is named "With Christ in His Ascension," but it will of necessity include a study of all the above noted steps.

We are to consider Christ in His resurrection, ascension and seating; and to study the believer's union with Christ in all these.

We must remember that the Lord Jesus is indissolubly linked with His Church. The two form one Body, of which Christ is the Head. Therefore what is true of Him is true of us. If He died, we died with Him; if He arose, we arose with Him; if He ascended up on High we ascended with Him.
