35. “At Hand”
The italicised words in the Scriptures are the same in the Greek.
1. An Hour of Woe. “The hour is at hand” (Mat_26:45).
2. A Means to an End. “By the which we draw nigh unto God” (Heb_7:19).
3. A Reciprocal Action. “Draw nigh unto God, and He will draw nigh unto you” (Jas_4:8).
4. A Cheering Lord. “Jesus Himself drew near, and went with them” (Luk_24:15).
5. A Returning Saviour. “The Coming of the Lord draweth nigh” (Jas_5:8).
6. A Near Redemption. “Your redemption draweth nigh” (Luk_21:28).
7. An Approaching Day. “The Day is at hand” (Rom_13:12; Heb_10:25).
