144. Christ’s Death

1. His star of destiny was His death on Calvary—Heb_9:26.

2. His death was no accident, but a deliberate purpose—Joh_10:18.

3. His death was a goal, a terminus—Php_2:8.

4. His death was an accomplishment, a work done for us—Rom_6:10.

5. His death was essential, a necessity to meet a need—Joh_3:14, Joh_3:15.

6. His death was a smiting of the Rock, that the living waters might flow—Joh_7:37-39.

7. His death is the gate of life, which leads to the plains of glory—1Th_5:9, 1Th_5:10.

8. His death is a mould to shape and make us—Rom_6:17, margin.
