Think of what they did to His body.

1. His face was marred—Isa_52:14.

2. His back was lacerated—Isa_1:6.

3. His brow was scarred—Mat_27:29.

4. His side was pierced—Joh_19:34.

5. His hands were nailed to the Cross—Luk_24:39.

6. His feet were torn—Psa_22:16.

7. His body was exposed to the unholy gaze of a mob—Mat_27:36-42.
