376. “Gave Up”

1. Sinners given up to Sin given up by God. “Wherefore God also gave them up,” etc. (Rom_1:24, Rom_1:26, Rom_1:28).

2. The Saviour given up for our Sins. “Who was delivered for our offences” (Rom_4:25).

3. God’s Love in Christ’s Death. “Delivered Him up for us all,” etc. (Rom_8:32).

4. The Saviour’s Voluntary Act in His Substitutionary Death. “Gave Himself up for me” (Gal_2:20, R.V.; Eph_5:2, Eph_5:25).

5. The Lord’s Committal of Himself into the Hands of His Father. “Committed Himself to Him” (1Pe_2:23).

6. The Devotion of the Lord’s Servants to His Work. “Men that hazarded their lives” (Act_15:26).
