God’s children may suffer loss through failure.

1. Abraham lost faith through going down to Egypt—Gen_12:10.

2. Samson lost power through Delilah—Jdg_16:19.

3. David lost joy through the flesh—Psa_51:12.

4. Lot lost possessions through world-bordering—Gen_13:12; Gen_19:29.

5. Peter lost testimony through cowardice—Luk_22:56-60.

6. The Ephesians lost their first love through half-hearted-ness—Rev_2:4.

7. Moses lost place through discouragement—Num_11:25.
