1. Persecution. “Rejoice ye in that day” (Luk_6:23)

2. Expectation. “Rejoicing in hope” (Rom_12:12).

3. Communion. “I therein do rejoice” (Php_1:18).

4. Repetition. “Rejoice in the Lord alway; and again I say rejoice” (Php_4:4).
