695. Results of Communion

When we have communion with Christ we have—

1. Joy in sorrow, as Mary experienced—Joh_11:32.

2. Gladness in persecution, as Paul and Silas experienced—Act_16:25.

3. Power in weakness, as the apostle knew—2Co_12:8,2Co_12:9.

4. Success in labour, as the disciples found out in fishing—Joh_21:6.

5. Endurance in trial, as John the apostle was made to know when he was banished to the Isle of Patmos—Rev_1:9, Rev_1:12.

6. Victory in temptation, as Joseph in Egypt experienced—Gen_39:9.

7. Guidance in perplexity, as the Acts of the Apostles illustrate—Act_8:26, Act_8:29, Act_8:31.
