782. Sonship

1. Constitution of Sonship—Life. “Begotten of God” (Joh_1:13, R.V.).

2. Right of Sonship—Grace. “To them gave He the right (margin) to become the sons of God” (Joh_1:12).

3. Assurance of Sonship—The Spirit. “The Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children of God” (Rom_8:16, R.V.).

4. Outcome of Sonship—Heirship. “If children, then heirs” (Rom_8:17).
