793. Standing in God’s Presence

1. The Place of Confession. “We are before Thee in our trespasses” (Ezr_9:15).

2. The Place of Worship. “To stand before the Lord to minister unto Him and to bless His Name” (Deu_10:8; 2Ch_29:11).

3. The Place of Service. “To stand to minister in the Name of Jehovah” (Deu_18:5, Deu_18:7).

4. The Place of Judgment. “The men… shall stand before the Lord” (Deu_19:17).

5. The Place of Fellowship. “As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand” (1Ki_17:1).

6. The Place of Empowerment. “As the Lord of Hosts liveth, before Whom I stand” (1Ki_18:15).

7. The Place of Independence. “As the Lord liveth before whom I stand, I will receive none” (2Ki_5:16).
