797. Stephen’s Shining Face

Act_6:15

He was doubtless unconscious of the shining of his face, but others saw it. Ask the question: “What is the shining face of an angel like?” A shining face will be—

1. Beautiful in expression—Son_2:14.

2. Coloured with spiritual health—1Sa_16:12; 1Sa_17:42.

3. Clear from the pimples of sin—Dan_1:4.

4. Free from the “crow’s feet” of care—1Pe_5:7.

5. Indicative of a pure heart within—Mat_5:8.

6. Tender in its eyes of sympathy—Luk_10:33.

7. Firm in its mouth of testimony—Act_10:43.
