842. The Prayer of Prayers
“Teach Me Thy Will” (Psa_143:10)
There are other places in the Psalms where this prayer, “Teach me,” occurs, but with a different ending—Psa_25:4; Psa_27:11; Psa_86:11; Psa_119:12, Psa_119:33, Psa_119:64, Psa_119:66, Psa_119:68, Psa_119:108, Psa_119:124, Psa_119:135.
There are seven things to fulfil in order to fill to the full this prayer of prayers.
“Teach me to do Thy will:”
1. Instantly, without question—1Th_5:18-24.
2. Implicitly, without doubt—Php_2:12-14.
3. Continually, without halting—Col_1:9-11.
4. Consecratingly, without sin—Heb_13:20, Heb_13:21.
5. Scripturally, without self—Heb_10:7.
6. Trustfully, without worry—Col_4:12.
7. Fully, without reserve—Luk_22:42.
