860. Things That Are Near

1. The Conscious Sufferer. “The Master saith, My time is at hand” (Mat_26:18).

2. The Approaching Deliverer. “Drawing nigh unto the ship” (Joh_6:19).

3. The City’s Vicinity. “The place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city” (Joh_19:20).

4. A Saving Gospel. “The Word is nigh thee,” etc. (Rom_10:8).

5. A Securing Price. “Made nigh by the Blood of Christ” (Eph_2:13).

6. A Living Presence. “The Lord is at hand” (Php_4:5).

7. A Portentous Time. “The time is at hand” (Rev_1:3; Rev_22:10).

The words in the above Scriptures rendered “at hand” and “nigh” are one and the same in the Greek.
