Observations Of The “ME” Generation – Bible study

When I went to our local grocery store this afternoon to pick up a few groceries, I noticed a young teenage girl coming out of the store wearing a t-shirt monogrammed with the word ME in large letters on the bottom of it.

Unfortunately, the focus on self of the ME generation, is alive and well. As a result of that focus, the societal problems of the ME generation have dramatically increased in the past twenty to thirty years.

The writer of this article states the end result of a society with the ME mindset:

Irresponsible self-gratification left unchecked always leads to destruction. Sooner or later, someone is going to have to be an adult and clean up the mess. Hopefully those people show up while there is still something worth saving.

As a redeemed people by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 1:7), we need to thank God every day, that our Lord didnt have the ME generation mindset, but had the Your Will Be Done mindset (Luke 22:41-42; cf. John 5:30; John 6:37-38).

Lets have the same mindset as our Lord, and demonstrate it in our daily life and living (Matthew 7:21; James 1:19-25).
