On Living By Grace – Bible study
When we live by grace, were doing for another individual kindnesses he doesnt deserve, hasnt earned, could not ask for, and cant repay (Matthew 18:21-35). Its main facets are beauty, kindness, gratitude, charm, favor, and thankfulness (Luke 17:11-19).
Grace offers man what he cannot do for himself. The unwritten creed of many, is that God is under obligation to them. However, grace suggests that we are under obligation to God (Romans 5:6-10; cf. John 3:14-17; Romans 6:16-18).
To live in that consciousness, is to live by grace.
Living by grace is indeed costly because grace carries with it the idea of sharing (Acts 2:44-45; Acts 4:32-37). In fact, it has no meaning apart from a spirit of self-sacrifice that prompts the soul to think more of giving than of receiving (Acts 20:35), of caring for others rather than merely caring for ourselves (Philippians 2:1-5; cf. Romans 12:10; Ephesians 4:2).
Lets think about it!
