Let Us “Sing A New Song” To The Lord! – Bible study

The Psalmist in Psalm 98:1, exhorts us to sing a new song to the Lord who has done marvelous things.

We should praise the Lord especially in times of great difficulty for God remembers His mercy and His faithfulness (Psalm 98:3).

Although this Psalm is about freeing the Israelites from slavery (Psalm 98:3), its also a prophecy of our salvation through Jesus Christ, our Lord about His freeing us from the bondage of sin (Romans 6:1-18; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

As we remember what God has done for us (John 3:16-17; Romans 5:1-11), we can trust Him to help us with todays difficulties as well as tomorrows uncertainties.

The ending verses of this Psalm has the creation presenting praise before the Lord (Psalm 98:7-9; cf. Isaiah 42:10-12).

Let us also join Gods creation in singing a new song of redemption and praise to our loving Savior (Revelation 5:6-9; Revelation 14:1-3).

Redeemed how I love to proclaim it!
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed thru His infinite mercy,
His child, and forever, I am.

Redeemed, redeemed, Redeemed by the
Blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed, redeemed, His child,
And forever, I am.
