She’s in a hospital smock, grimacing, unkempt, and sporting a hefty bandage on her hand. And she’s on the cover of the July 2001 issue of her magazine, Rosie.
When asked why she was photographed in such a state, Rosie O’Donnell said she had nearly died from a staph infection following surgery on her hand. “I’ve just gotten out of the hospital and almost died,” she said. “Who has time for lipstick?”
