Is the great commission the only command of Christ for right standards with God? What must you obey to obey Christ?

After his resurrection, Jesus told his disciples, “go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…teaching them to observe all that I commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20. This is sometimes referred to as the Great Commission. As followers of Christ, we are all given this work to go out and share the good news. But all … Continue reading “Is the great commission the only command of Christ for right standards with God? Did the saints who died in the Old Testament rise after Jesus' resurrection or will they rise after he returns?

The scriptures say that all the saints that die before the second presence of Christ will remain in the grave until his return. (I Thessalonians 4:16) The order of resurrection is also spoken of as the sounding of the last trumpet when the dead shall be raised. (I Corinthians 15:51-52).  These scriptures show that the … Continue reading “Did the saints who died in the Old Testament rise after Jesus' resurrection or will they rise after he returns?”

What does it mean in Ezekiel 33:5 when it says. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning, his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.

Consider the prophet Ezekiel and his role in Israel. God had chosen Israel to be in relationship with Him. “You only have I known from all the families of the earth,” Amos 3:2.  Ezekiel was appointed a watchman over Israel when they were captive in Babylon. “Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman … Continue reading “What does it mean in Ezekiel 33:5 when it says.
