The Bishop’s Bible of 1569 translated Jeremiah 8:22, and spelled the words as follows: “There is no treacle at Galaad.” (“There is no balm in Gilead” niv.)
“UNRIGHTEOUS” BIBLE
The “Unrighteous” Bible in 1653 may have given hope to unrepentant sinners when “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall inherit the kingdom of God” was printed – instead of “not inherit” (1 Corinthians 6:9).
