A MAN one day was walking through the woods with a friend. His mouth was dry, so he kept licking his lips. The problem was that the more he licked his lips, the more they got chapped. The more his lips got chapped, the more he licked his lips. He had no Chapstick.

He asked his friend, “What can I do? My lips are so dry and it’s only getting worse.”

“Oh,” he said, “there’s a simple solution to chapped lips out here. Go over yonder, get some horse manure, and rub it on your lips. Two things will happen. Number one, the horse manure will deal with cracking of the lips. Number two, you won’t be licking your lips anymore.” Some of God’s solutions come in the strangest ways.408
