HOLY
SPIRIT, SENSITIVITY OF
TRAFALGAR Square in England is known for the collection of pigeons that come there. Thousands of pigeons show up to feed on the bread crumbs that people bring. Doves are not seen at Trafalgar Square. A dove is one of the most sensitive birds ever created. If a dove sniffs anything that could irritate it, it will fly away.
The Bible portrays the Holy Spirit as a dove—very sensitive. When the Holy Spirit senses anything that is contrary to the King and His kingdom, He doesn’t want to hang around.466

1 Cor. 3:16
WHEN TRAVELERS go through the airport and put their bags on the conveyor belt, the bags go through an X-ray machine and someone sits there and looks at it. That person sits there looking for something in the bags that don’t belong. If they see a metal object in a bag or something that is questionable, they pull the bag owner off to the side and then go all through their belongings. They will get out of the bags anything that does not belong so that the traveler is free to make their trip.
The Holy Spirit does the same thing. He goes through our things. Sometimes we wonder why it is taking so long for God to make a breakthrough. It is because the Holy Ghost is going through our stuff and He may have picked up on something that’s in our bag that doesn’t belong there. He is not about to take off with someone who’s got questionable baggage.467
