Please explain Psalms 132:11 – The LORD swore an oath to David, a sure oath he will not revoke: One of your own descendants I will place on your throne. (NIV)

This is a messianic promise of God to David. God promised that the Messiah, the King of Israel, would be David's descendant. David's son, Solomon, ruled all of Israel.
