A Bible printed in 1717 had the heading for Luke 20, “The parable of the Vinegar” instead of “Vineyard.”

The “Unrighteous” Bible in 1653 may have given hope to unrepentant sinners when “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall inherit the kingdom of God” was printed – instead of “not inherit” (1 Corinthians 6:9).

The Bishop’s Bible of 1569 translated Jeremiah 8:22, and spelled the words as follows: “There is no treacle at Galaad.” (“There is no balm in Gilead” niv.)
