REST,
PROVISION OF
A FEW months ago, I had some problems with my car. I had to pull over on the side of the road because the problems were so severe. I got out of the car, opened up the hood, and pretended like I knew what I was looking for even though I didn’t have the slightest idea. On top of all that, I discovered that one of my tires was flat.
Now, you can get mighty dirty and sweaty fixing a flat. I was dressed in my three-piece suit. Having to change a tire in a three-piece suit can ruin a day.
I picked up my phone and called AAA. They sent a tow truck. My car wasn’t going anywhere, but that truck backed up its back to my front, and yoked my car onto the truck. I sat with the driver as he pulled my car to where it needed to go. My car wasn’t cooperating. It wasn’t going with the program, but AAA sent me a yoke, and the man who drove the truck took over. All I did was make the call. Because I have a relationship with AAA, when I need them, they come. They took care of everything. They got my car to where it needed to go and then made sure that all of the necessary work was done. I got to ride.
Jesus Christ is inviting us to come to Him and to take on His yoke. Being connected to Him has its benefits.766
