Kanye West, a hip-hop producer and rapper, wants a new version of Scripture in which he’s the lead.

“I bring up historical subjects in a way that makes kids want to learn about them,” said West. “I’m an inspirational speaker. I changed the sound of music more than one time.… For all those reasons, I’d be a part of the Bible. I’m definitely in the history books already.”

West may be one step shy of blasphemy. Or he is simply stating the obvious. He is already in the Bible—as are we all. Anytime Scripture speaks of sinners a holy God died to save, the Bible is talking about Kanye—and each one of us.
