What I Do Know, I Like – Job 19:25-27 – Bible study

Job 19:25-27 WHAT I DO KNOW I LIKE Intro: Ill. He trials and troubles of Job. These verses mark a turning point in the life and attitude of Job. He has been kind of a gloomy Gus, having his little pity parties, but here and hereafter, he gets his eyes on the big picture. He begins to look beyond the here and now to some things that are settles, some things that will never change, some things he can rejoice in. There are some sure blessings here for us tonight. When life is rough and you feel defeated, there are some sure facts that can bring you joy in the midst of the storm. I dont know much, but what I do know, I like! Let me share some of these things with you today. I. v.25aI KNOW ABOUT A REDEEMER A. A Personal Knowledge – (Ill. I, Me) (Ill. The Redeemer, the Redemption and the Resurrection.) B. A Powerful Knowledge – Life changing! Cant drink from this well and remain the same! C. Privileged Knowledge – I know Him and He knows me! He knows me and He still loves me! II. v. 25bI KNOW ABOUT RETURNER A. He Promise – John 14:1-3; Rev. 22:20 B. His Power – Matt. 28:18 1. To Rapture – 1 Thes. 4:16-18; 1 Cor. 15:51-52 2. To Reign – Rev. 19:11-16 C. His Performance – He is able to do all He has promised to do! Rom. 4:21; Psa. 145:13! III. v. 26I KNOW ABOUT A RESURRECTION A. A Departure – Heb. 9:27 – Ill. John 11:25-26; 2 Tim. 4:6 – (Departure = Nautical – To loose a ship from the dock and set sail, Military – To Take down the tent Traveler – To put the horse in the barn Legal – To nchain the prisoner Christians never die they just go home! B. A Decomposition – Ill. The body will return to the elements that it came from – Gen. 3:19. (Ill. But that doesnt mean there will be any soul sleep!) C. A Deliverer – Ill. This body is going to rise! (1 Cor. 15:12-23!) (Ill. The body shall live, be changed and shall see God!) IV. v. 27I KNOW ABOUT A REUNION A. Personal – (Ill. Jobs pronoun usage!) (John 17:24; Rev. 22:4!) (Ill. Psa. 17:15) Im going to see Jesus! B. Perpetual – 1 Thes. 4:17. (Ill. Psa. 73:24 – Going home!) Conc: Ill. Reins be consumed within me, literally means, I am overwhelmed by the thought of it! I am too, but I sure do find a lot of comfort, hope and strength in the thought of it. Yeah, I dont know much, but what I do know, I like!
