Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and [on] his left.
18. Again he said ] R.V. And he said. There are three stages in the prophet’s dealings with the king, (1) irony in 2Ch 18:14, (2) serious advice in 2Ch 18:16, (3) denunciation of death in 2Ch 18:18-22.
I saw ] Render, I see. The vision comes to the prophet as he stands before the two kings; cp. 2Ch 18:13 and Mar 13:11.

Therefore.LXX., not so, as if the Hebrew were lkn instead of laken. Vulg. excellently, at ille: idcirco ait audite verbum domini.
Hear ye.Kings, hear thou.
Standing on his right hand.Literally, were standing. Kings, And all the host of heaven was standing by him, on his right hand and on his left. The chronicler has abridged.
